From April to October Boka Outdoor takes care of the sport activity in the Soča valley, Slovenia. Hike and bike in the heart of the Triglav National Park or on the river banks of the Soča river. You can choose from a varity of water sports on the river, descent on steel cables called zipline park above the Učja gorge or enjoy the bird's eye view of the Triglav National Park and Julian Alps with a parachute.

Rafting

When is the best time?


In the peak season rafting is available every day at 8:30, 12:00 and 16:00. During the low season you can decide between 9:00 or 12:00. For a more adrenaline ride we recommend to visit the valley in the spring and autumn time due to the higher water level of the Soča River.

Canyoning

Canyoning is an adrenaline activity in the steep gorges of the streams which flow into the Soča river. Picturesque walls The summer months are more suitable for canyoning, due to higher temperatures. It is recommended to have some warm clothes with you to wear after the descent., roaring waterfalls and crystal clear, green pools accompany us every step of the way. It is about descending and overcoming natural obstacles such as natural slides and waterfalls over which you jump into the pools.

Kayak

Kayak descent on the River Soča inspires kayakers with special feelings of experiencing nature. Gliding on the wavy emerald water surface stops every once in a while in calm spots of the river and touches you with freshness, humming and magical views. Kayak trip to the Soča Valley is a proper chill in the hot summer days, while you will forget all about bad weather on rainy days.

Kayak navigation in the Soča Valley and the surroundings is available on certain sections of rivers and lakes:

Zipline

Lose the ground under your feet for a change and embark on an unforgettable flight. The adrenaline enthusiasts can choose between two zipline parks, which are among the top European parks of this type regarding their size and the natural beauty of the surroundings.

 

Let yourself be led by trained guides, indulge in an adrenaline rush and take in the views of the idylic Alpine world that a visitor of the Soča Valley can feel on every step. Treat yourself to an active experience and to a viewpoint from which the birds watch the wild valleys. Paragliding

Many adrenaline enthusiasts want to experience the Julian Alps and the Soča Valley, from a bird’s eye view. Excellent thermal and wind conditions and the shape of mountains create good conditions for paragliders.

 

There are several takeoffs in the Soča valley, which allows paragliders to find a suitable takeoff in a different weather conditions.

 

Tandem flights

Some of the sports agencies in the Soča Valley carry out tandem flights with paragliders. Paragliding in tandem does not require any previous experience.

Fans of adrenaline are surely not going to become bored in the Soča Valley. Fly with a paraglider or gather courage to jump from a plane with a parachute, too.

Mountain biking

There are many easier and more demanding tours available in Bovec region. If you plan to go cycling on your own, we offer mountain bike rental. However, if you want to experience the most attractive and scenic routes and visit the most hidden mountain corners or valleys our guide can also take you there.

Hiking

The high mountain world of the Julian Alps, the unspoiled nature of the Triglav National Park and the proximity of the Soča river make the destination the Soča Valley one of the most beautiful hiking destinations. It is worth mentioning the Alpe Adria Trail, Juliana trail, Soča trail, Path of Peace. The first two take place near the Boka Hotel.

KOZJAK WATERFALLS


Not far from Kobarid, above the emerald green Soča River, there is a gorge of the Kozjak stream, where the 15-metre-high Kozjak Waterfall particularly stands out.
